Frequently you could unscrew the bottom and take out the disk and clean it with alcohol to get your data back. When I worked with a Caelus drive at Burroughs I discovered the problem with this cartridge - the air comes out of the mouth and then swirls back in. Even if you put a clean air pack on, as Burroughs did it would still get contaminated.
