Burroughs manufactured several versions in Glenrothes of the removable single disk cartridge version. I designed a HEPA filter system for them that made them work a bit better but the air coming out of the cartridge mouth had a vortex and entrained contaminated air back in.
You could always do what we did at IBM to get the data off - take the cartridge apart and clean the head crash marks off with isopropyl. |
